By sending a text message to our phone number, you expressly consent to the following:

• Receiving SMS messages from ChatPlaylist in response to your requests, including playlist links, status updates, and service-related communications
• The processing of your messages by artificial intelligence to generate playlist recommendations
• The storage of your conversation history to provide a personalized experience

You may opt out at any time by texting "STOP" to our number. Upon opting out, we will cease sending you messages. To request deletion of your data, please contact us at the email address listed below.

Information You Provide Directly

• Phone number — Your mobile phone number in order to send and receive text messages
• Message content — The text messages you send us, including playlist requests and conversational messages
• Name — If you choose to provide it during conversation

Information We Generate

• Chat history — A record of your conversations with our AI assistant (limited to your most recent messages)
• Playlist data — Details about playlists created for you, including song selections, playlist names, descriptions, Spotify playlist URLs, and playlist status
• Usage data — The number of playlists created and messages sent per month
• Account metadata — Account creation date and last update timestamps

Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — we never store credit card numbers or financial account details.

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• To process your playlist requests and deliver Spotify playlist links via SMS
• To provide conversational AI responses to your messages
• To maintain your conversation history for a more personalized experience
• To track usage limits (free tier: 3 playlists and 20 messages per month)
• To manage subscriptions and billing through Stripe
• To send service-related messages such as playlist creation status updates and subscription notifications
• To improve and maintain our service

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (Firestore) with industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Access controls limited to authorized service accounts
• Automatic playlist expiration — playlists are deleted from Spotify after 5 days unless saved to your personal library
• Chat history limited to your most recent messages

We use the following third-party services to operate ChatPlaylist:

• SimpleTexting — SMS messaging provider (processes your phone number and message content)
• OpenAI / Anthropic — AI language model providers (processes your message content to generate responses and playlists)
• Spotify — Music streaming platform (we create playlists on Spotify on your behalf)
• Stripe — Payment processing (handles all payment transactions securely)
• Google Cloud Platform — Cloud infrastructure and database hosting

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies for details on how they handle your data.

• Phone number and account data — Retained for as long as your account is active
• Chat history — Limited to your most recent messages; older messages are automatically removed
• Playlist data — Playlists are removed from Spotify after 5 days. Playlist metadata is retained in our database for your account history
• Subscription information — Retained for the duration of your subscription and as required for billing records

You have the right to:

• Opt out — Stop receiving messages at any time by texting "STOP"
• Request your data — Ask us what personal information we have stored about you
• Request deletion — Ask us to permanently delete your account and all associated data
• Correct your data — Request corrections to inaccurate personal information

ChatPlaylist is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
